Description
PROPOSED BRAND NAME SOLICITATION: Polycom, Inc. This is a combined Brand Name Synopsis/Solicitation FA8601-11-T-0050 for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-42, effective 16 June 2010. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334613 with an associated size standard of 1000 employees. This requirement is Brand Name specific for Polycom, Inc. Any quotations should e-mailed to Daniel Enders at Daniel.Enders@wpafb.af.mil no later than 17 February 2011. Only proposals received by this date will be considered. Any questions should be directed to Daniel Enders at daniel.enders@wpafb.af.mil. The Operational Contracting Office, Aeronautical Systems Center, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for the following requirement: CLIN 0001: Polycom VSX7400E Presenter Package - Quantity 1 Accessories Include: Polycom QBRI Interface for VSX7000 or 8000, Polycom Premier MNTC Next Day Parts, Polycom Ceiling Microphone Kit, Powercam Cable - 50', Crestron Programming, Miscellaneous Cables & Hardware, Installation, Wiring Diagram, and Sourcecode. Contractor will provide new Polycom Codec, Ceiling Microphone with BRI Interface. Contractor will provide a total rewrite of the Crestron programming code to interface all current GFE equipment and interfaces. Contractor will re-wire the existing rack to the new configuration and provide the Government with a wiring diagram and programming Sourcecode. (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. Updated 26 January 2011: A non-mandatory site visit will be held on 8 February 2011 at 1400. Upon notification of the site visit date/time, attendees shall meet at the Hope Hotel (Bldg 823) outside of gate 12A of Wright-Patterson AFB (see attached map of Area A&C) NLT 1345 A.M (EST). Interested parties shall e-mail the names of all attendees (not to exceed two per company) to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Daniel Enders, at Daniel.Enders@wpafb.af.mil at least two days prior to the site meeting. If necessary, the Government may issue amendments to the solicitation after the site visit in accordance with FAR 15.206, Amending the Solicitation. (3) A written record of the site visit will be posted on the Fed Biz Opps website. Be advised that all questions pertaining to the solicitation and or site visit shall be submitted in writing to the contract specialist. No questions shall be answered at the time of the site visit. Also, Government representatives may not discuss or comment on price/cost or provide any clarification at any time during the site visit.
