Description
Technical Evaluation Criteria General Terms & Conditions Specifications Request for Quotation NSTec's Specifications of Sample Handling and Manipulation Heating and Cooling Stage (Attachment No. 1) The heating and cooling stage is need for ultrafast electron and x-ray diffraction experiments in NSTec's SDRD program. This stage is required to operate in ultra-high vacuum environment (10-8 torr or lower) for sample transfer and manipulation with heating sample up to at least 1000 C and cooling down to -150 C or lower. The x-y-z and rotation manipulation must be controlled by stepper motors with the computer interfaced drivers by RS232 or internet ports. The stage should be able to handle 1" diameter sample. The heating and cooling of the sample is required to be uniformly across the sample and the temperature on the sample should be within 3 C with its desired setting. The stage is mounted on a CF100 (6" OD CF) system mounting flange. XY travel range is not less than ± 16 mm and Z travel is 150 mm. The resolutions of x-y-z are ±0.01 mm. The polar rotational range can be ±100. The resolution of the rotation must be less than 0.05/step with an encoder. The stage system should be designed and built according US electrical safety requirements. The Subcontractor shall provide a test and calibration report and a user manual for the stage system and the software in either hardcopy or electronic format. The delivery time should not be longer than 4 months after ARO. The warranty period should be at least 12 months. For a comparative reference see the Kurt J. Lester Company, "MultiCentre Sample Handling Systems" or equal.
