- Description
- Question 1: Please estimate the size or desired stowage capacity of the lockable storage box on the trailer. RESPONSE 1: 36"L x 18"H 18"W Question 2: The trailer specification lists "Power to Operate Trailer: Electrical drive system 12V/60Hz/1 Phase." There seems to be a typographical error, so please clarify whether this means 120VAC or 12VDC, and clarify what the specified power is meant to operate (i.e., the tower system? Other things?) RESPONSE 2: 120V/60Hz/1Phase Question 3: Is electrical power to be generated on-board the trailer (using a generator, for example), or is power to be drawn from a shore power source? If on-board power-generation is envisioned, is there a fuel preference (i.e., gasoline, diesel, JP8)? RESPONSE 3: No on-board power required, operator will use portable external generator for power to operate tower Question 4: Your stated overall transport height of 10'6" exceeds the ceiling height of a C-130; please clarify. Do you envision partial disassembly for air transport? RESPONSE 4: overall transport height of 10'6" is adequate, transportable on C-130 is not required Question 5: Under the "Tower Capacities" section, please confirm that the wind speeds given are in miles per hour (mph). For example, your statement "Max Wind: Maximum estimate to 125" means that the equipment should tolerate maximum winds of 125mph? RESPONSE 5: Max wind of 125mph is correct Question 6: Is the "Tower Lift & Tilt Capacity: Minimum 300 lbs" an indication of the actual antenna / payload weight that is to be mounted on the tower, or is it a statement of desired capacity, while the actual antenna / payload weight is lower? RESPONSE 6: 300 lbs is estimated antenna weight to be mounted on tower and minimum desired capacity of tower Question 7: The last point under "Tower Capacities" specifies "minimum direct drive 120V/60H/1 Phase 1 horsepower." Can "direct drive" be interpreted as a requirement for a winch or screw drive mechanism, or would a pneumatic or other solution be considered as well? RESPONSE 7: Interpretation is correct, "direct drive" = winch or screw Mechanism. Pneumatics equipment will not be considered for award. Question 8: What is the retracted height of the telescopic antenna mast? RESPONSE 8: Max retracted height is 25' (feet): no more than 1' (foot) beyond trailer length.
