- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source requirement to the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California for conference space, audio/visual requirements and catering services for a conference of approximately 1200 attendees. The 1200 conference attendees are booked to lodge at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Due to logistical reasons, the conference must take place at the same location where the conference attendees are lodging. The conference is required to take place in the San Diego or the immediate surrounding area. The Manchester Grand Hyatt will not allow any other company to come in to provide catering or audio/visual services which therefore, make this requirement sole source. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2(a)(2)(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and an RFQ will not be issued. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals to be used for consideration of future requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Any vendor who wishes to submit a proposal for future consideration should email their company's capabilities information to the attention of LaMonica Norwood no later than 12:00 noon EST, February 09, 2011 at lamonica.norwood@dhs.gov. ONLY EMAIL RESPONSES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
