- THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT FEBRUARY 18, 2011. The Wallowa Whitman National Forest is soliciting for conifer cone collection. The purpose of the contract is to provide services for the collection of reforestation and tree improvement seed if a viable cone crop exists. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (some Government Furnished Property available), and incidentals to climb trees and perform cone collection. Contract will be awarded to one contractor as a 3 Year IDIQ Requirements Contract effective April 1, 2011 - September 30, 2013. As a requirements contract there is no minimum guarantee, contractor will be called if a determination is made that a viable cone crop exists. Majority of the work typically takes place in August and September.
