- In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) 3.2.1.3.12 entitled Announcement, industry is hereby informed that the FAA has a potential requirement for aerospace medical certification systems data conversion services to assist the FAA Aerospace Medical Certification Division (AMCD). The principal North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is expected to be 541512 Computer Systems Design Services with a size standard of $25.0 million. The NAICS is described as follows: This U.S. industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in planning and designing computer systems that integrate computer hardware, software, and communication technologies. The hardware and software components of the system may be provided by this establishment or company as part of integrated services or may be provided by third parties or vendors. These establishments often install the system and train and support users of the system. This is a market survey for aerospace medical certification systems data conversion services supporting FAA Aerospace Medical Certification Division. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Interested sources are encouraged to review the Statement of Objectives described in Attachment 1. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from all sources, capable of providing medical systems data conversion services to support FAA Aerospace Medical Certification Division. This market survey is also being conducted to obtain the industry information, and market information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms as well as to structure the Statement of work to be issued in the near future. All responses to this market survey must be received by February 18, 2011. Please include the following: 1.Submit the attached Business Declaration form and submit a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter (if applicable). 2.Answers to the Market Research Questionnaire (Attachment 2).
