- Statement of Work for subject Sources Sought This is a Sources Sought Announcement. The Shoulder Fired Team Lead - Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division, Crane IN, 47522 is seeking information on potential candidates for an upcoming solicitation of ammunition and weapon testing for the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). USSOCOM has a requirement for testing various calibers of ammunition and weapons from small arms to 155mm caliber as well as shoulder fired munitions and other ordnance items out to ranges of 3000 meters. Testing requirements include environmental and dynamics testing, insensitive munitions testing, live fire performance characterization, developmental, qualification, first article, lot acceptance testing, transportation and packaging safety testing, weapons, munitions, and hardware asset exploitation support. The NAICS for this procurement will be 541380. The procurement strategy will be to award a five year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) service contract for conducting various tests as related to ammunition and weapons. The offeror must have facilities capable of conducting testing proposed under this solicitation. Information is requested on the following areas and topics. All responses to this announcement must be in the English language. Facilities Capability: Please provide information that demonstrates the capability for conducting ammunition and weapon testing, including fixtures, environmental chambers, vibration tables, and ranges. Testing requirements are delineated in the attached Statement of Work. Cost/Schedule/Past Performance: Please provide actual or expected costs for conducting various ammunition and weapons tests. It's anticipated that there will be 2 to 3 tests per month. In addition, please provide history of testing and types of tests conducted. Industry Information: Request firms provide the following information: cage code, company name, address, phone number, email address, a point of contact This announcement does not constitute an invitation for bids or a request for proposal, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this announcement. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this announcement.
