- SYNOPSIS The Air Force intends to make an award on a competitive small business set-aside for a commercial shredding company with a base year and four option years. The contractor shall provide a secure document destruction and recycling service for the 21st Medical Group. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and other items necessary to maintain this service within the 21st Medical Group. The Contractor shall provide this service at the 21st Medical Group, also referred to as the "medical treatment facility" (MTF) herein. The Contractor shall perform this service in a manner that is in compliance with the Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). The solicitation, FA2517-11-T-6017, will be available on or about 10 Febuary 2011. The solicitation will be distributed through the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) web site http://www.fbo.gov/. This requirement will be accessible to those companies deemed eligible by the information they provided when they register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) web site http://bpn.gov/. Electronic copies of the solicitation will be available on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO). The Federal Business Opportunities web site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments and other general information, will also be distributed solely through this site. All interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have up-to-date information about this acquisition and are encouraged to monitor and register their company on the Interested Vendor List (IVL) and Register to Receive Notifications. This is a small business set aside. The anticipated award will be Firm Fixed Priced contract. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 561990 with a small business size standard of $7.0 Million dollars.
