Description

Contractor to provide full Architect/Engineering services as required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, including services throughout construction period for Project No. 596-11-103 'Building 37 for Engineering Administration' for the VA Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky, Leestown Road division. Building 37 is approximately 5,950 SF and the renovation shall provide office space, conference room, staff lounge and break area, reception waiting area, staff toilets and a public toilet. The renovation shall also provide improved access to the building with improved parking. The A/E will develop three (3) concepts to renovate Building 37 that will incorporate energy efficiency. Construction Cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Area of consideration is limited to a 150 mile radius of the Lexington, Kentucky VA Medical Center. Firms desiring consideration must submit THREE copies of SF 330, not later than 3:00 PM local time, March 9, 2011. This procurement is a full and open procurement. NAICS 541310 with a size standard of $4.5 million is applicable. Contract award is subject to the availability of VA funds. A/E Selection criteria will include: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for performance of required services; 2) specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E firm with similar type projects; 3) past performance on contracts with Government agencies; 4) Location of A/E firm; 5) experience and roles of key design personnel, specifically on related projects; 6) cost control and estimating effectiveness. This is not a request for proposal. THREE copies of SF 330 should be mailed to Connie Mabley, Contracting Officer (90C), 2250 Leestown Rd., Lexington, Kentucky 40511. No faxed or emailed SF 330's will be accepted.
