- 17-page PDF of RFQ for Jacket 746-479 These specifications set forth the requirements for the printing, finishing, packing, labeling and delivery of two, 566-page book items with common content but different bind methods. Item 1 is a perfect-bound book and Item 2 is a casebound book. All text pages print head to head in four-color process and black ink with no blanks. Text is shared for both binds with the exception of SUPDOC Sales copies (see below). All Covers print 1, 4 and spine. Full bleeds and heavy ink coverage throughout entire publication. Covers 1, 4 and spine of each book item are flood coated with a high gloss, non-yellowing varnish. SPECIFICATIONS APPLY EQUALLY TO THE CASE BOUND AND PERFECT BOUND VERSIONS UNLESS INDICATED OTHERWISE QUANTITY: Item 1 - Perfect Bound Book version (paperback) : Total quantity of paperback version = 3,081 books Item 2 - Case Bound Book (hardback) : Total quantity of hardback version = 567 books SIZE: 8-1/2 x 11" trim size. NOTE: The trim size indicated above is for the Text ONLY and does not include the overall size of the casebound cover. Contractor to determine the size of casebound cover in accordance with Library Binding Standards. Contractor Must Adjust Spine As Needed. Dimensions are given as approximate and should be uniformly adjusted so that the finished product will be of good quality and appearance.
