- Description
- The U.S. Department of Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Beltsville, Maryland, intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and 6.302, an order with Siemens Industry, Inc., to perform the following repair and maintenance at their facility in Beltsville, Maryland, at Building 010A: The Contractor's work shall consist of but not be limited to: (1) Supply all labor and materials to upgrade fourteen (14) lab Siemens UC style DDC controllers to PXCC controllers for VAV supply & exhaust boxes; (2) Supply labor and materials to integrate all new Siemens controller with point names & graphics by establishing communication to existing Building Automated Systems (BAS); (3) Supply labor and materials to check out point to point and assist TAB contractor for flow correction & calibration set-up; (4) Verify & demonstrate complete VAV Box operation for proper functionality of all connected field devices and submit As Built network riser diagram and lab control panel drawings; (5) Provide deficiency items report for field devices, if any, with cost to repair; and (6) All debris generated by this work shall be removed from the working area and after completion area shall be in broom clean condition. Siemens is the original equipment manufacturer and the heart of the system is Siemens proprietary software. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement and past performance references, which shall be considered by the agency, by 3pm, eastern time, February 11, 2011. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $70,000.
