- The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) is seeking potential sources capable of providing base wide custodial services on Edwards AFB, CA. It is estimated that the total square footage to be cleaned will be approximately two (2) million square feet spread over 300,000 acres of land. These services include but are not limited to: 1) Basic cleaning services (floor maintenance, centralized trash removal, drinking fountain cleaning, stairway cleaning, carpet vacuuming, general spot cleaning) 2) Basic restroom/locker room cleaning services (cleaning and disinfecting, shower, toilet bowl and urinal decaling, floor cleaning, restroom resupplying) 3) Periodic cleaning services (strip, scrub, seal and wax floors, carpet shampooing/cleaning, high glass cleaning, high dusting, blind and drapery dusting) 4) Fitness Center and Child Development Center general cleaning (including interior/exterior glass cleaning, high and low dusting) All work is located on Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB) and must be in accordance with federal, state, local environmental laws and regulations. Contract award is estimated to take place August 2011. This synopsis constitutes one form of early industry involvement and the Government requests industry recommendations, opinions, and feedback. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids/proposals. Responses will assist the Government in determining whether to set-aside/restrict competition in some way or solicit offers from all responsible sources. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notification or otherwise pay for any information or inquiry. This synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, and is not considered to be a commitment by the Government. All interested parties who believe that they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing the complete information describing their capability and qualifications to provide the aforementioned support services. Please include your company name, point of contact, address, telephone number, Duns & Bradstreet Unique Numbering System (DUNS) number, Central Contractor Registration (CCR), and Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code and your firms small business status. Potential offerors must be registered in CCR to be eligible for contract award or payment from any Department of Defense activity.
