- UNUSAL AND COMPELLING REQUIREMENT FOR THE LOW-VELOCITY PARACHUTE. PR number 0040308108, NSN 1670-01-547-0401, Parachute, Low-Velocity. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are available and can be furnished by the Government at www.dscr.dla.mil/tdmd (all lower case) The FOB point is Destination, Inspection and Acceptance is Origin. Business size is unrestricted Full and Open Competition. Solicitation is for a definite quantity contract or contracts for a quantity amounting to 50,000 each. Delivery: 166 days (80% PLT) for production. There is a Government First Article (45 days), Production Lot Testing (30 days) and a packing and rigging certification for this item. Export Control is also required. DLA Aviation is requesting your best phased delivery for this item. Ship To: stock locations. Automated Best Value System (AVBS) applies. Delivery and past performance, when combined, will be evaluated as significantly more important than cost or price. The government reserves the right to award one or multiple contracts under this solicitation to fulfill its requirement of 50,000 parachutes. The solicitation issue date is February 11, 2011 and the closing date is February 22, 2011.
