- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a Purchase Order to Ovid Technologies of Norwood, MA. The purpose of this procurement is to acquire access license(s) to electronic scientific journals, books and data bases in support of the scientific research of agency scientists. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification, as well as, a capability statement to the contracting office by 12:00 p.m. eastern standard time February 24, 2011. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within its discretion. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
