- This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to determine the interest and capability of potential Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVSOB) with the North American Industry Classification Code 236220. Based on the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a determination will be made whether it is possible to set this requirement aside for SDVSOB concerns. PWD Maine is contemplating a Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for unspecified minor construction at major sites and reserve centers within the PWD Maine area of responsibility, including but not limited to sites at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Cutler, Prospect Harbor, and Rangeley, Maine and at NOSC in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and New York. Each contract awarded would be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract for one base year and two one year option periods. The total value of all contracts awarded shall not exceed $90,000,000. Task orders under the awarded contracts may include new construction, renovations, alterations, repairs, demolition, and design build projects. All responses to this Sources Sought Notice should contain the following information: (1) Full company name, address, phone number, point of contact, email address and DUNS number; (2) A positive statement of your intent to file a proposal as a prime contractor if a solicitation is issued; (3) A list of work you currently are performing or have completed within the past three years. Please include contract numbers, project titles, a short project description, number of employees under the project, dollar value of the project. Capability statements should not exceed 20 pages (no hyperlinks) and should be of sufficient detail to determine the ability of your firm to perform the required services. Failure to submit all information requested could result in a contractor being considered as not interested in this requirement. SDVOSB concerns may submit capability statements electronically via email, but it is the responsibility of the vendor to ensure the email was received. Electronic responses should be directed to kim.c.kaiser@navy.mil. Mailed capability statements can be sent to the contracting office address shown above and marked for the attention of Kim Kaiser. All responses must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. 24 February 2011. This Sources Sought is for market research and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the reviews. All information submitted in response to this announcement must be received on or before the closing date. All questions must be submitted in writing to kim.c.kaiser@navy.mil
