Description
This project is located approximately 60 miles southwest of Tucson, Arizona in Sells, Arizona at the Sells Indian Hospital. This project involves the installation of new chilled water supply and return lines that will connect the Sells Indian Hospital Outpatient Department (OPD) to main plant chillers. This change will effectively take the McQuay chiller out of service. Proposals for this project will be in accordance with contract specifications and will also contain options pertaining to McQuay disposal, pipe material, and pipe insulation. In addition to updating air conditioning (A/C) service for OPD, this project replaces the Laboratory A/C unit with a new unit. The lab A/C will require supplying a crane to remove existing Lab A/C unit from the building, then install a new unit in its place. In addition, replace the electrical disconnects and connect the new unit to existing ductwork. The new unit shall include an outdoor economizer, which will allow the unit to operate in a "free cooling" mode. The unit compressor shall be configured to shut off during cool weather and open an outside air damper, which will allow cold air to be drawn into the Laboratory. Finally, the new A/C unit must be compatible with the existing ductwork and the Delta HVAC Operating System. A unit meeting all of these requirements is the Carrier 50TCD012A2A6, but an equivalent model will be acceptable. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, and transportation necessary to complete this work. The Contractor will be required to submit comprehensive List of Materials with their proposals. For each List of Materials with a value of $1,000 or greater, the Contractor will be required to submit manufacturer's technical specifications with their proposal. Prevailing Davis-Bacon Wages will apply. All Contractors working within the Tohono O'odham Reservation are subject to a Tribal license tax and a Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) Tax. A site visit will be schedule and referenced upon in the Solicitation. Estimated Site Visit date and time: February 28, 2011 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm mountain time at the Sells Hospital location. Estimated Solicitation Issue Date: February 14, 2011 Estimated Start Work Date is: March 30, 2011.
