Description

The following changes have been made to this pre-solicitation notice: 1.Classification code has been changed to Z 2.NAICS code has been changed to 238160, size standard under this NAICS is 14.0 million 3.Estimated Range of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 Design - Build Requirement: Replace roof of the fifth floor and penthouse of building 100 VA Healthcare System Bay Pines, Florida Project No. 516-11-301. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service Disable Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Size standard under NAICS 238160 is $14.0 million; Estimated Range of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Location of work is at VA Healthcare System Bay Pines, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd. Building 100, Bay Pines, FL 33744. Requirement: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, and supervision necessary to perform the demolition and re-roofing of the fifth floor and penthouse concrete deck roof of building 100. It will be the responsibility of the Design-Builder to design and construct a complete roof system with a Florida Product Approval and Miami Dade County Approval. In addition, lightning protection system replacement for the re-roofing of the Fifth Floor and Penthouse of Building 100 (Hospital Building) shall be designed and installed in accordance with all applicable UL, NFPA, state and local fire codes. The Request for Proposal will be posted on or about March 18, 2011 NOTICE: A CLASS DEVIATION TO VA ACQUISITION REGULATION (VAAR) 804.1102 VENDOR INFORMATION PAGES (VIP) DATABASE HAS BEEN EXECUTED. EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2010, ALL SDVOSB OFFERORS MUST BE VERIFIED BY THE OFFICE OF SMALL AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS UTILIZATIONS'S CENTER FOR VETERANS ENTERPRISE (CVE) PRIOR TO RECEIVING AN AWARD, UNLESS CURRENTLY LISTED AS VERIFIED IN THE VIP AT WWW.VETBIZ.GOV
