- Description
- Attachment A THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This is a notice of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's (BEP) intent to solicit and award a sole source procurement set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b)(1) wherein circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available, which in this case the determination is that only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of the requirement is to establish a BPA under FAR Subpart 13.303 for the purchase a broad class of supplies that are proprietary in nature to the contractor and/or can only be obtained from the contractor (see Attachment A for a listing equipment and examples). The BEP currently has two (2) facilities; the Western Currency Facility and Eastern Currency Facility. These supplies though generally purchased from the contractor the exact items, quantities, and delivery requirements are not known in advance and may vary considerably as a result, this BPA provides for the general terms and conditions between the BEP and the contractor in the purchase of these supplies. The maximum ceiling amount for this BPA is $150,000.00. The BEP intends to award a BPA to KBA-Giori S.A., Avenue Du Grey 55, P.O. Box 347 Lausanne, Switzerland. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their ability to provide equipment needed by the BEP. Responses to this notice shall be received by the February 15, 2011, at noon Eastern Time (ET). All responses must be in writing and are to be sent via email to Thomas.olinn@bep.gov.
