- Description
- February 9, 2011 Vendor Questions and Answers for VA-241-11-RQ-0234 All vendors must receive approval from Maquet and Metronic for distributing their product line. Please provide proof at time of RFQ submission. 1.Question: Can you clarify specifically what products you are looking for? The solicitation gives a good sense of product types but there are various sizes and variations within the categories you have laid out. Answer: There is a list of product types in the solicitation and all products will be required in various sizes and variations, depending on the need. This is for direct patient care and cannot be an exact kit. It will vary depending on the patient need. 2.Question: Can you clarify what are the specific technical requirements you are looking for and on which each solicitation will be judged? Answer: Refer to the solicitation and all information is listed. 3.Question: Can you provide information on projected volume's and the units of measure you expect shipments to come in. Answer: This is for direct patient care and exact quantities per order cannot be determined. Per the solicitation each vendor needs to submit the min/max per one shipment. 4.Question: When you specify that this is a firm fixed price is it safe to assume that there will be some ability to issue a price increase somewhere over the period of the 5 year contract? Answer: A firm fixed price is requested, how the individual companies respond is per their determination. 5.Question: Finally, when would the contact go into effect? Answer: As soon as the RFQ submissions are reviewed, a contract is estimated to be awarded within 30 days.
