Description
The Army Contracting Command Warren Detroit Arsenal is herein synopsizing for the following commercial item: Armored Sports Utility Vehicle (Armored SUV) accompanied by operator and supplemental manuals, spare parts, dealer support as well as warranty requirements. There are two (2) variants for the Armored SUV: Clear and Tinted Windows. Armored SUVs will be procured according to a performance specification, under request for proposal W56HZV-11-R-G205. Please NOTE: The exterior of the vehicle after armoring shall have the same appearance as the commercially available Original Equipment Manufacturer unarmored vehicle provided to the public and show no visible signs of being an armored vehicle. Level of Armor: B6+ Standard. *** The Government contemplates to compete this requirement under FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION (no longer restricted to small businesses). Refer to the incoming RFP for the most up-to-date RFP requirements.*** Offers will be evaluated pursuant to FAR Part 15, Best Value, Source Selection procedures. The Source Selection Evaluation Board will evaluate the following factors: Technical(acceptable/not acceptable basis) as well as Delivery Schedule and Price (trade-off basis). The planned contract type is one Firm Fixed Price, Requirements type contract with three (3) year ordering periods and two (2) one year option periods for an estimated total quantity of 171 units throughout a five year period. FOB Point: Origin. The request for proposal may be released on or about February 22, 2011 and responses will be due approximately 30 calendar days thereafter. Interested parties are advised to withhold submission of data until after the request for proposal has been publicly released. One or more of the items under this procurement is subject to World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
