- SSJ Sole Source TO PROCURE an Alaskan Medical Tent System for a Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility (CASF). Including: 4-each Alaska Ten 32 x 20 Green Alaska Tents, 6-each Green Alaska Tent Vestibules, 3-each Green Alaska Tent Partition Walls, 2-each Vestibule Connector Arch, and 4-each Alaskan Tent Spare Part Kits. Key performance factors include the following: ability to sustain structural integrity with a 10 pound snow load, sustain structural integrity with a 65 mph wind load, maintain a 90 degree Farenheit (F) at 120F ambient temperature using 5 tons of A/C, maintain a 40F interior temperature at -25F ambient temperature without use of any allowable supplemental heat, and setup time within 2 hours with 4/person crew. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of an item for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed source is Alaska Structures, 9024 Vanguard Drive, Suite 101, Anchorage, AK, 99507. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. "An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selections process."
