- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to clarify the quantity of instruments desired for this requirement. Accordingly, CLIN 0001 of this synopsis/solicitation is amended to read, "Line Item 0001: Two (2) Atmospheric Trace Gas Observing Instrument Systems (each system consisting of three (3) separate instruments). Accordingly, the background statement of this synopsis/solicitation is amended to read as follows: "The Greenhouse Gas and Climate Science Measurements program of NIST's Special Programs Office, is pursuing a collaborative project involving the use of instrument systems capable of observing atmospheric levels of the trace gases carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and methane at atmospheric concentration levels in field applications. Two atmospheric trace gas observing instrument systems, each consisting of three separate instruments, are required that are capable of observing atmospheric levels of the trace gases carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and methane at atmospheric concentration levels in field applications. One observing system shall be capable of meeting the requirement of Group 1 gases and the second shall be capable of observing Group 2 gases. • Group 1 gases are carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. • Group 2 gases are carbon dioxide, methane, and water vapor. Instruments are to be deployed in field locations to provide continuous atmospheric monitoring at each location. Each instrument will be located indoors with electrical and internet connection available and must operate without operator attention for a period of one (1) year. Each instrument must demonstrate precision and comparability characteristics in mixing ratio units defined below for each gas to be measured." This solicitation is hereby extended to 12:00 pm local time on Tuesday, February 22, 2010. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged and in full effect.
