- The U.S. Census Bureau intends to procure services (maintenance renewal) needed for Tandberg and Gold TMS maintenance agreement. The maintenance and support will be for a period of October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. Please see the services listed below. All responsible sources that can provide the services and meet the detailed requirements, may respond to this solicitation by submitting a quote to Tanisha.L.Contee@Census.gov. Phone calls will not be honored. Award will be made by Government Purchase Order. Written responses should be received within 15 days from the publication of this synopsis. Closing date and time for receipt of quotes will be on February 19, 2011, 9:00 am Eastern time. ***QUESTIONS & ANSWERS*** 1. Is the requirement just for the renewal purchase of these Tandberg contracts? In other words, will no other service and support be required from the vendor such as phone support, level 1 response to issues, onsite visits etc. Answer - No we are the engineer on-site and handle ALL issues. This is just so we have coverage on the Endpoints for upgrades, and RMA's if something fails. Something we are currently running without on a few CORE components to our VTC infrastructure. 2. The quantity of 1000 MXP units is listed as 5 yet there are only 4 serial numbers listed. Is this a mistake in the count or is a serial number missing? Answer - 13A30820 3. I've reached out to Cisco/Tandberg and my contact in their service renewal team mentioned that due to the expiration date of the existing contracts on these units, you cannot backdate the maintenance to 10/1/10. Instead, you will need to pay the recertification fee the goes direct to Cisco/Tandberg to get these units back under maintenance. Answer - If a point of contact has advised this information, please do so at your discretion.
