Description

The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Division, Contracting Department intends to acquire 2 each MITEQ upconverters Model U-9856-7-1k, with options P 15, Ethernet, and NFR Ku-band Frequencies 12.75-14.5 GHz, and 2 each MITEQ downconverters Model U-9808-6-1k, with options P 15, Ethernet, and NFR Ku-band Frequencies 10.75-12.75 GHz.. This procurement is a sole source acquisition with MITEQ, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The company is the only known provider of these supplies. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A firm fixed price contact will be awarded as a result of this quotation. This acquisition falls under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.5 ”Test Program for Certain Commercial Items (section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This requirement is in support of the US Naval Observatory.
