Description
Description(s): THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION AND A SEPARATE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 under Simplified Acquisition procedures in Subpart 13.5 as supplemental with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is S11-001003 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-25. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339112. The Government intends to make an award based on the lowest price technical accepted offeror to the eligible, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, and is the most advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the right to make an award to that offeror whose quotation provides the best overall value to the Government. The Government anticipates a firm-fixed priced contract. The National Institutes of Healt, Radiology and Imaging Sciences Department would like to procure probes for use in Radiofrequency Ablation of cancer tumors. The variety of locations of treatment require multiple probe sizes to adequately meet treatment goals. In addition, the ablation system used currently requires these electrodes and will not function properly with electrodes made from another vendor/manufacturer. -ACT1510 Cool-tip RF Ablation Electrode Kit single 15cm x 1cm tip /1 each -ACT1030 Cool-tip RF Ablation Electrode Kit single, 10cm x 3cm tip/ 1 each -ACT1520 Cool-tip RF Ablation Electrode Kit single, 15cm x 2cm tip/ 1 each -ACT1525 Cool-tip RF Ablation Electrode Kit single, 15cm x 2.5cm tip / 3 each -ACT2025 Cool-tip RF Ablation Electrode Kit single, 20cm x 2.5cm tip/ 2 each Vendors must send written capability responses by February 24,2011 to the Contract Specialist at the following e-mail address gakinbinu@cc.nih.gov
