Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta GA, VISN 7, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Biomerieux, Inc., 100 Rodolphe Street, Durham, NC, for Biomerieux Lab Analyzer preventive maintenance and emergency services (Model: Vitek2 Compact), for the Montgomery VA Medical Center, 215 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL 36102. The period of performance for this procurement will be February 1, 2011 through September 30, 2011. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334517 with a size standard of 500 employees. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer no later than February 18, 2011; by 12:00pm EST. Documents shall be emailed to Brad.nelson@va.gov. Based on the responses received, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with source negotiations. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
