****ATTENTION****FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO Dexter Hornsby, Contracting Officer, (256) 876-5045 or Katherine Pettey, Contract Specialist, (256) 313-4595. This requirement is for thirteen (13) Idenfity Friend or Foe (IFF) Range Extension retrofits, for NAVAIR, and twenty four (24) IFF Range Extension kits, for the Army. The IFF Range Extension Retrofit Kits will extend the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration and Coordination System range from 25nm to 60nm. This requirement will be solicited using other than full and open competition and negotiated on a sole source basis. Raytheon Company, 1001 Boston Post Road E, Marlborough,, MA 01752-3770, Cage Code: 7Y193 is the prime contractor who retains the proprietary data rights to the manufacturing processes, engineering data and software packages required to perform the require services. Raytheon designed and developed the ATNAVICS and FBPAR hardware and software and is the only system manufacturer. The Government does not own the ATNAVICS and FBPAR production configuration technical data package documentation necessary to perform the hardware or software engineering services required. This synopsis is for notification of subcontracting opportunities. Subcontracting opportunities must be arranged between the prime and any potential subcontractors. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
