- The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, DC has a requirement for a Computerized Numerically Controlled (CNC) 3 Axis Vertical Turning and Boring Machine. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and attached. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00024-11-Q-4301 is hereby issued as a request for quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-49 and DFARS Change Notice 20110202. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions which may be accessed in full text at these addresses: https://www.acquisition.gov/Far/, http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dars/dfarspgi/current/index.html. This acquisition is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333512 and has a size standard of 500 employees or less. This requirement is for a firm fixed price contract for the following line items: 0001 - Vertical CNC Boring Machine, 1 each 0002 “ Transportation for Item 0001, 1 each 0003 “ Foundation for Item 0001, 1 lot 0004 “ Installation Services for Item 0001, 1 lot 0005 - Quality Assurance Services for Item 0001, 1 lot 0006 “ Training Services for Item 0001, 1 lot 0007 “ Tooling for Item 0001, 1 lot This acquisition is for a vertical boring machine and associated items as stated above and in the attached statement of work. Delivery is FOB destination at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF). Delivery date is no later than 365 days after contract award. Please see the attached statement of work for additional specific dates. A onetime site visit will be held on 2 March 2011/1200 hours at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF.
