Description
M67854-11-R-1018 - Combined Synopsis / Solicitation for Small Arms Shock Simulator This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), located at 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, VA 22134, is issuing the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of one (1) Small Arms Shock Simulator, that will replicate the shock and vibration forces exerted by small arms weapons in the USMC inventory. The primary goal is for the product to simulate an M4 carbine firing M855 ball ammunition, thereby reducing ammunition and range time requirements. The simulator will be operated and maintained by MCSC personnel. The solicitation number for this requirement is M67854-11-R-1018. The North American Industry Classification Code is 333314, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This procurement is being issued as a full and open competition. (SEE ATTACHED SOLICITATION) In responding to this RFP, offeror(s) shall submit its completed solicitation response addressing all RFP requirements. Offerors may submit written questions requesting clarification of the solicitation requirements on or before 10:00 a.m.(Eastern Time), 10 March 2011. Questions may be submitted to Bernetta Burton at bernetta.burton@usmc.mil. Telephone calls will not be accepted. The closing date for receipt of quotes is 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time), on 21 March 2011. Anticipated award date is on or about 5 May 2011. Electronic proposal submissions are permitted (and preferred) and must be submitted to Bernetta Burton at bernetta.burton@usmc.mil. Facsimile submissions will not be accepted. Mailed proposals shall be delivered to the Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: CT-021 Patsy D. Stefan, Contracting Officer, M67854-11-R-1018, Bldg 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, VA 22134. All submissions shall reference the combined synopsis / solicitation number M67854-11-R-1018.
