- The Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) - FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements to the American Electric Power Company, Inc., 1 Riverside Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215-2355, to provide electrical services at its facility located at 1301 Airport Road, Beaver, WV, 25813. This action will result in a firm fixed price contract. The contract will be for a base year of twelve (12) months and four (4) twelve-month options. The period of performance will commence on March 1, 2011, and end on February 28, 2016. The NAICS code for this requirement is 221122. A firm is small if, including its affliates, it is primarily engaged in the generation, transmission, and/or distribution of electric energy output for the prceding fiscal year does not exceed 4 million megawatt hours. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals.
