Description

Description: Lodging Services for the Miami VA Healthcare System (VAHS) This is a pre-solicitation notice for a commercial item acquisition and will be conducted in accordance FAR 12 and 13 in accordance with IL 90-99-4 (http://www1.va.gov/oamm/oa/ars/policyreg/ils/il99_4.cfm). This procurement will be unrestricted for full and open competition. The purpose of this Solicitation shall be to provide Miami VAHS Lodging services. It is the Miami VAHS'S intention to solicit proposals under RFP VA248-10-RP-0651, NAICS Code: 721110 size standard of $30.0 million in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, and schedules of the solicitation and award a contract on a competitive basis. The contract resulting from the solicitation shall be a Firm Fixed Price contract with one (1) base year plus four (4) one (1) year options exercised at the discretion of the government. For the convenience to the beneficiaries of the Miami VAMC, the Hotel/Motel must be located within 4.5 miles of the Miami (VAMC). The hotel/ motel must also be within 3 miles of Miami International Airport and provide shuttle services. The contractor shall provide Lodging services which shall include but will not be limited to: Rooms which meet the Miami VAHS standards, Extended Stay's, Alternate Accommodations if needed, Guarantee of five (5) rooms per day, tax exemption for federal government and other requirements set forth in the future request for proposal. The electronic solicitation will be announced on or about March 1, 2011. The offeror will be responsible for downloading all solicitation documents, amendments and other documents from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (www.fbo.gov) without further notices from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Activity 8 - Miami. Interested firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) at www.ccr.gov.
