QUESTIONS & ANSWERS SOLICITATION #465-11MR-1472 GAS CYLINDERS PITTSBURGH, PA Following are questions/concerns received in response to the above referenced solicitation: 1. Could you tell me where the work will be performed: Place of Performance shows Beaver, W. Virginia, but cylinder location shows Pittsburgh, PA The work will be performed at the location at: 626 Cochrans Mill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. 2. Can you also tell me who currently provides the service on the gas cylinders & The current provider on the gas cylinders is Butler Gas Products Company, dba: Qualitech Gas Products, 110 Nichol Avenue, McKees rocks, PA 15136. 3. Dollar amount of last award? The total of the last award is $133,094.35. Contract was base and four (4) option years. 4. How often are cylinders to be inspected, baked out, and re-valved? It states recurring basis? The aluminum cylinders need to be inspected hydrostatically out every 5 years, steel cylinders every 10 years. When tested, the cylinder needs to be baked out. The valves need to be replaced when they fail. 5. It states vendor would be required to provide a 1-day response in relation to MEO operations within the tri-state area. What are the tri-state areas? And are weekend deliveries a possibility? The tri-state area includes Pennsylvania, Ohio, & West Virginia. Weekend deliveries are a possibility at an MEO. 6. Place of performance on the solicitation coversheet shows Beaver, West Virginia; but the scope of work details that the cylinders are located in Pittsburgh, PA - what location will we use in reference to the performance location? Please see question 1 above. 7. Within the defined scope of work in item 2 (Requirements) can you define the locations that the vendor would be required to provide a 1-day response in relation to MEO operations and deployment within the tri-state area? Are the vendor's responsible for transporting requested gases to sites other than the place of performance? Please see question 5 above. The vendor is responsible for delivering cylinders to sites in the tri-state area. 8. Within the defined scope of work, in item 3 (Quality Assurance), please clarify how often a "recurring basis" would be? Please see question 4 above.
