- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N40442-11-T-7316, and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-48, effective 30 DEC 2010. NAICS code 333923 applies. This is a small business set-aside. Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), Virginia Beach, VA intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Allied Systems Company for Davit parts for the USNS SAFEGUARD. Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts are required. Any offer for other than OEM parts will not be considered. The following parts are required for Davit, Slewing Arm end item application: The requested period of performance for the below service is 05 - 12 March 2011. 1.0 ABSTRACT 1.1 This work item provides maintenance, purchase, change out of wire rope and weight testing of RHIB Boat Davit. Period of Performance 05 - 12 March 2011 2.0 REFERENCES/ENCLOSURES 2.1 REFERENCES: 2.1.1 Allied Systems repair manual located onboard the ship. 2.2 ENCLOSURES: 2.2.1 Allied Davit Inspection/Condition Found Report 3.0 DESCRIPTION/LOCATION/QUANTITY 3.1 Starboard side, 01 deck, One (1) Allied RHIB Boat Davit D6000 FCT, Serial 1996. 4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL/SERVICES: None 5.0 NOTES 5.1 The contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier shall consult the General Technical Requirements (GTR) to determine applicability to this work item. In performance of this work item, the contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier must comply with the requirements of all applicable GTRs including but not limited to GTRs 1 through 7, 22, 23, and 29. 6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None Additional 7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK 7.1 Provide a qualified Allied Crane Field Service Technician to test the Boat Davit Crane IAW Enclosure 1 and oversee the installation of the recommended repair parts. 7.2 Conduct a complete No Load operational test of the Crane upon the completion of the repairs. 7.3 Upon completion of the No-Load test the Allied Crane Rep shall over see the Working Load, Dynamic Load and the Static Load weight tests. 7.4 Provide Port Engineer, Chief Engineer and the Chief Mate with a condition report of the davit and copies of the Wire Rope Certificates. 7.5 Provide the following material to support the Crane inspection and testing: 7.5.1 P/N 46464 Electrical Box Qty 1 P/N 46425 Junction Box Assembly Qty 1 P/N 239266 Button, Push Qty 1 P/N 239797 Red Indicator Light Qty 2 P/N 239796 Green Indicator Light Qty 1 P/N 251432 Bulb Qty 3 P/N 231135 Gauge Qty 1 P/N 244198 Valve Rotary Qty 1 P/N 241364 Hook, Quick Release Certified Qty 1 P/N 40362 Decal Qty 1 P/N 45611 Decal Qty 1 7.6 Manufacturer's Representative: Allied Marine Crane Field Technician 8.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: None additional.
