Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA-250-11-RQ-0006 for PACSGEAR Mediaimport Gateway System. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 will be used in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. NAICS code is 511210, size standard is 500 employees. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-49 and VA Acquisition Circulars through January 24, 2011. The "equal" product must have the same physical, functional, or performance characteristic as the PACSGEAR Mediaimport Gateway System described above. The "equal" system requires compatibility with any Philips iSite PACS systems currently in place at VA Northern California Health Care System and must have the capability to be entered manually, or downloaded from external scheduling systems via DICOM. In addition, the "equal" system must have comparable support, warranty, and equipment services, and services and installation shall not be conducted by third party subcontractors. Storage must be equal or exceed that of the PacsSCAN Specifications. Replacement of material and parts will be furnished to the Government at the point of installation, if installation is within the continental United States or f.o.b. the continental U.S. port to be designated by the contracting officer if installation is outside of the continental United States.
