Description
RFQP02031100017 MILK, CHEESE-VARIOUS LETTER - MILK/CHEESE-VARIOUS The Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury Ct., intends to issue a solicitation for the Quarterly Requirements for Milk (delivered twice per week), Cottage Cheese (delivered once per week), & other Cheeses (one time delivery for other cheeses). This solicitation is restricted to 100% Small Business, FOB Destination. Delivery dates will begin Friday, April 1,2011 through Friday, September 30, 2011 (2 deliveries per week over a 6 month period for milk and 1 delivery per week for Cottage Cheese). Deliveries will be made to FCI Danbury, 33 ½ Pembroke Road, Danbury CT., 06811. The contract type for Cottage Cheese shall be Firm Fixed Price. The proposed contract type for Milk is a Fixed Price with an Economic Price Adjustment based on the established monthly report published by the "Federal Milk Order Pricing System". Pricing factors will be released on the Friday before the 23rd of the month, unless this date is a Friday. Prices used shall be Class I. This price can fluctuate on a monthly basis up or down. All price adjustments will effect the following month delivered prices. Month used shall be the most recent (use March 2011 report/adjustment for April 2011 delivered prices). Please show your base price (for both types of milk) and the Federal Adjustment Price and a total for both. Use April 2011 for May 2011 and so on. Also include location in which your basing your prices on (ex. NY, Boston, NJ, PA). Quantities are estimated. The Government reserves the right upon award to make formal single or multiple awards. The Government will award to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, that is considered to be most advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quote. USE # (1) (a) A fixed-price contract with economic price adjustment provides for upward and downward revision of the stated contract price upon the occurrence of specified contingencies. Economic price adjustments are of three general types: (1) Adjustments based on established prices. These price adjustments are based on increases or decreases from an agreed-upon level in published or otherwise established prices of specific items or the contract end items.
