Description
This modification to notice details corrects the location of the project. The project work is in COLORADO, not California. This modification also includes details on project advertisement and location for obtaining plans. This project is set-aside for HUBZone Certified Small Business Concerns only. Offers received from other than HUBZone Certified Small Business firms shall be deemed non-responsive. COLORADO RRP ALAM 100(1), Bluff Overlook Drive: This project is located within the Alamosa NWR approximately 15 miles east of Alamosa, CO. The project crosses areas that are relatively flat terrain. This 1.7 mile project begins on the Bluff Overlook Drive directly off the Hansen Road and proceeds northward. The project work consists of grading the existing roadway bench and placing 6 inches of aggregate base on the roadway. This project consists of one contract schedule. This project will require approximately 370 cubic yards of excavation, 2100 cubic yards of unclassified borrow, and 5500 tons of aggregate base. In addition to the main roadway items there will be drainage improvements, traffic control, temporary erosion control devices, and other miscellaneous items. It is anticipated that this will be a one-season project. The project is anticipated to begin in May, 2011 and extend to late summer. Tentative advertisement date is March 2, 2011. PLEASE NOTE: The Invitation for Bid will be available for download on or after March 2, 2011, from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fedbizopps.gov. PLANS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD IN ADOBE (.pdf) FORMAT ONLY ON CFLHD's WEBSITE at http://www.cflhd.gov/contracting/construction/AdvertisedProjects.cfm under the Project Name. Other information regarding this solicitation will also be available at the above website.
