Description

Synopsis: In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 5.201, this is a notice of the VA's intent to enter into a sole source contract with NEOMEND, Inc. for ProGEL Pleural Air Leak Sealant. The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center has a requirement for ProGEL Pleural Air Leak Sealant. This is a surgical sealant made of human serum albumin and a polyethylene glycol cross linker that forms a clear flexible gel on mixing. Surgeons use the device to seal air leaks on lung tissue after standard closure techniques, for open resection of lung tissue. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for this requirement. The suggested contractor is NEOMEND, INC. 60 Technology Drive, Irvine CA 92618-2301 This is not a solicitation. However, companies which assert that they can provide this product or an equal product should submit information to include technical specifications of their product, past performance information, price, product availability and delivery time. Information should be submitted by email to the Point of Contact below by February 25, 2011 at 5 p.m. EST. This information will be reviewed for consideration for future requirements.
