Description

Department of Veterans Affairs VA MidSouth Healthcare Network (VISN 9) Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Nashville, 1310 24th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212 intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Boston Scientific Corporation (Medi-Tech Division). of Natick, Ma, for the purchase of Maestro 3000 Cardiac Ablation System which includes the Maestro 3000 Pod, Maestro Foot Switch, and Maestro 3000 Operators manual. The NAICS code for these supplies is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 Employees. The Government believes that Boston Scientific Corporation is the only authorized provider for the required Maestro 3000 Cardiac Ablation System. This is a sole source procurement utilizing, 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can provide these supplies may give written notification to the Purchasing Agent, no later than 4:00 PM CST, February 25, 2011. Supporting evidence of ability to provide equipment must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the Purchasing Agent, Keith nestinger via email address: keith.nestinger@va.gov or faxed to the attention of Keith Nestinger at (615)225-5431. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source negotiation to Boston Scientific Corporation for the required Maestro 3000 Cardiac Ablation System, Pod, Foot Switch, & Operators Manual.
