(Subject Continued) W912EE-11-T-0005 SEE STATEMENT OF WORK FOR UPDATES: 2.1. Background Information The Vicksburg District desires to cleanup/Install/label nine (9) communications closets by totally replacing the existing cat 5e patch cables and utilizing any existing flat satin cables that are compliant with current ANSI/TIA/EIA specifications. 2.2.1 Cabling Closets Provide support for the general objectives of this scope of work: The Contractor shall provide an industry-standard and compliant, high performance structured cabling system design that meets or exceeds all current standards and accommodates all MVK applications. The resulting design shall include total replacement of all Cat5e patch cords and utilize existing cable management hardware whenever possible. The Contractor shall install, test and certify the structured cabling infrastructure to support ACE-IT and MVK requirements. The Contractor shall perform a physical site survey for each specified communications closet and provide the requesting MVK agencies with a detailed infrastructure design and installation plan. The plan shall indicate the number and types of cables proposed, recommended outlet locations and contain a project Gantt chart with applicable tasks, work breakdown structure, milestones showing completion dates and other logic leading to a successful project prior to beginning the cabling effort. Remove this paragraph: Each cable is to be labeled with a permanently attached label at each end, bearing a unique identification to be supplied by the Corps of Engineers. Cable identifications will consist of the station id (from floor plan) and cable id (telephone/data, jack number, etc). ALSO THIS INFORMATION HAS BEEN ADDED: Additions/Changes to Statement of Work for W912EE-11-T-0005 1.Work shall be performed after 1700 and before 0700 Monday through Saturday. 2.The main closet work will consist of the removal of approximately 1600 flat satin cross connect cables (lengths are no longer that 15 feet each) and replacement of approximately 50 flat satin cross connect cables (lengths are no longer that 15 feet each). Also need the cleanup of approximately 30 T1 cross connect wiring connections (length not exceeding 25 feet). 3.Replace all patch cables in each of 8 satellite closets with Blue category 5E patch cables. Slack in each cable shall not exceed 8 inches and excess slack will be concealed within the rack wiring channels/trays. 4.The contractor will replace all broken or missing d-rings and add cable management trays and/or channels as necessary to contain, route, and conceal wire.
