Description

QUESTION (1): What type of information is required for the database report? Is there specific data that needs to be gathered, or will a log file of all operation suffice? ANSWER (1): The report should have a log file of all operations. QUESTION (2): Regarding some of the equipment currently in use, I do not have enough information about their hard drives to determine whether our duplicator can support them. Can you please describe the interface on the hard drives (i.e. SATA, PATA or proprietary) used in the following equipment: MRT STEC8 HD 128GB / Movement Tracking System (MTS) Paladin 40GB / PDFCS for M109A5 155mm gun ANSWER (2): MRT STEC8 HD 128GB uses a SATA connector Paladin 40GB uses a PATA connector QUESTION (3): Regarding the Panasonic Toughbooks and Miltope rugged laptops, the hard drives in these laptops are housed in caddies that use a proprietary connection. The hard drives themselves are regular SATA or PATA drives. Do you remove the drives from the caddy prior to duplication, or do you need a solution that can duplicate these drives without needing to be removed from the caddy? ANSWER (3): Users do NOT remove the drives from the caddy prior to duplication. A solutions is needed that can duplicate these drives without removing drives from caddy. QUESTION (4): Defragmentation - Does this process need to occur during the duplication process, or can it be done as a separate process? Does this need to be applied to all drives, or just for the Master pre-duplication? ANSWER (4): You may provide information on how your system handles that process in your response.
