Description
RECOVERYEmergency Repairs for Settlement at Jefferson Memorial Seawall, National Mall and Memorial Parks, PMIS # NAMA-128232 TAS::14 1041:: TAS NAICS CODE 237990.THIS PROJECT IS FUNDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) AND IS SUBJECT TO THE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS OF THE ACT. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY BEING OFFERED TO THE CONTRACTOR AWARDED UNDER SOLICITATION NO. 1443N2011090072 (Contract No. 1443C2011090072 - Clark Construction, Inc.). The Government intends to award Modification No. 0011 to Clark Construction, Inc. in accordance with 41 U.S C. 253(c)(1) for additional work consisting of steam cleaning and grouting the North side marble stairs at the Jefferson Memorial. This additional work is being provided to the Government at a significant reduction in price by the Contractor. This is consideration whereby the Contractor agrees to absorb approximately 75% of the total price associated with the additional work for the Government's acceptance of nonconforming work. Based on the Contractor offering to perform this additional work at a greatly reduced price as consideration for accepting the nonconforming work, the Contractor will be awarded this additional work at a fixed price of $25,000 as the only responsible source that can provide this work at this reduced price that represents only 25% of the estimated cost to perform the additional work.Firms believing they can provide the required services described above at a price of $25,000.00 or less must provide supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondents' ability to successfully meet these requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received within 15 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
