- This requirement is to provide continuing helpdesk and sustainment support to the U.S. Army Dental Command's (DENCOM) Corporate Dental System (CDS) located at, Fort Sam Houston, TX, with helpdesk specialists stationed at various CONUS bases and Korea. The DENCOM's Information Management and Technology Division (IM&TD) is charged with maintaining the DENCOM's suite of software applications within the CDS, which includes the Corporate Dental Application (CDA) with its associated modules and the Digital Enterprise Viewing and Acquisition Application (DEVAA). To accomplish this mission, the DENCOM IM&TD utilizes a contractor to provide helpdesk and sustainment support to 206 US Army and 113 US Air Force dental clinics worldwide. The contractor will be responsible for programming, database administration, requirements analysis, system interface support, information assurance, Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance, documentation management, configuration management, tier 2 and 3 helpdesk support, lifecycle management, and other critical information management duties in support of the US Army CDS suite of applications. The Contractor shall provide services, Monday through Friday from 0600 through 1800 hours (except federal holidays). The period of performance is 09 March 2011 through 08 March 2012. The CHCC intends to solicit and negotiate only with Harris IT Services Corporation under the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition in section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 as implemented by FAR 13.501(a), sole source justifications under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any quotes, proposals, or capability statements received by close of business Tuesday, 01 March 2011, will be considered by the contracting officer.
