- Synposis: The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (VAGCVHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement in accordance with FAR Part 13 under authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source) with Siemens Government Services, Inc. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used and the contract will be a firm fixed price contract. The NAICS code is 8112113 with a size standard $7M. This presolicitation notice serves as notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals and is not a solicitation or a request for offers. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that a prospective offeror can fulfill the requirements of the solicitation and that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties should submit a capability statement to the Contracting Officer within no later than 10:00 am CST, October 29, 2010 to: Madonna Niceley, Purchasing Agent, to: madonna.niceley@va.gov.
