****ATTENTION****ALL FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION MUST BE DIRECTED TO: Melissa Jakes, Contracts Specialist, email: melissa.d.jakes@us.army.mil. No telephone calls will be accepted. NOUN: Collar Assy, Drive; NSN: 1615-01-199-1789; P/N: 145R3438-5, Quantity: 160 each minimum/480 each maximum Basic + 2-100% Option type contract applicable to CH-47 Turbine Engine with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA. Required delivery is 160 each 263 Days After Contract Award (DACA) and up to 160 each year until contract completion. The First Article Test Report is due 163 DACA. Required delivery without First Article Testing is 160 each 175 DACA and 160 each year until contract completion. This is a Critical Safety Item (CSI) and an Engineering Test Item (ESI). This requirement is restricted to SPX Corporation (82001)and The Boeing Company (77272) because this part must be acquired from a manufacturing source(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of the DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under Standard Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. WARNING: THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS TECHNICAL DATA WHOSE EXPORT IS RESTRICTED BY THE ARMS EXPORT CONTROL ACT (TITLE 22, U.S.C., SEC 2751 ET SEQ.) OR EXECUTIVE ORDER 12470.
