Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice for A/E - IDIQ Services at the Hampton VAMC. The Hampton Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Hampton, Virginia is seeking the services of an Architect-Engineer firm to design and develop all solicitation documents for future construction projects/procurements at the Hampton VAMC. This project will involve design services, construction document preparation, monitoring services, construction period services, submittal reviews and other associated A/E services for a multitude of different projects at the VAMC, Hampton VA. This will be an IDIQ - A/E Contract with the possibility of multiple awards. It is anticipated that this will be a $4.5 Mil aggregate IDIQ contract with a maximum task order amount of $900,000.00. It will encompass a base year with four (4) option years. The guaranteed award amount is estimated to be $10,000.00 for the base year and any option years exercised. Funds are not currently available for this project. The Veterans Affairs (VA) expects to receive funds in the near future. This sources sought is to determine availability of experienced A/E firms that have VOSB or SDVOSB status within a 60 minute response time to the Hampton, Virginia VAMC. To be eligible, the firm must be a full service A/E firm with architects and engineers on staff. The firm ™s personnel must be licensed in the state of Virginia. VOSB or SDVOSB qualified A/E firms that have experience in the design of hospital building construction projects are encouraged to respond to this sources sought notice by 4:00pm (local) on March 8, 2011. Please answer the questions below and send them to James Wood, VISN6 Contracting Specialist, at james.wood7@va.gov. Include answers to all of the following questions. Please be specific with examples. 1)Firm Name, address, DUNS Number, years of A/E related experience, and distance from Hampton, Virginia. 2)Has your firm directly worked in design projects related to hospital construction? If so, be specific as to type, nature, location, services provided, amount of design/construction cost of the project, and provide a POC reference (name and phone number) for that project. 3)Is your firm currently able to directly provide all necessary labor, material, equipment, and architectural and engineering services to prepare complete drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates from design stages through construction of the project. If so, site specific examples of full design through construction period services you provided. 4)Is your firm capable of completing all design and other related services in accordance with all applicable requirements of the Veterans Affairs (VA) construction standards, VA space design criteria, VA design criteria for mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, VA infection control requirements, and all national NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and local, state, and federal regulations. Please site experiences utilizing these criteria in prior projects. 5)Is your firm capable of providing all documents and designs electronically in the current versions of AutoCad/Architectural Desktop/Auto CAD MEP and Microsoft Word? 6)Is your firm listed in CCR, VETS100, VETBIZ, and ORCA as a VOSB or SDVOSB with an applicable NAICS code of 541310 and 541330? 7)Is your firm experienced in A/E IDIQ contracts? If so, please provide specific list of A/E IDIQ contracts your firm has had to include a POC at that location. This is a sources sought request only. Do not send SF330 forms. Please just email your responses to the email address listed above. This is to determine availability of VOSB and/or SDVOSB qualified firms within a 60 minute response time to Hampton, Va. An actual request for SF330 forms from A/E firms will be sent out at a later date through a separate posting. Thank you in advance for your responses.
