- Description
- A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small businesses to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a certified Small Business, HUBZONE, 8A, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and Women Owned Business and you are interested in this project respond appropriately. Should the project come to fruition, the contract type will be an Architecture and Engineering Contract procured pursuant to the Brooks Act. Project Description: Design of an eight (8) foot wide asphalt paved bike trail to eliminate automobile and biker safety conflict, to facilitate sustainable visitor transportation and reduce traffic congestion; and to collaborate with the local community including the Garfield County Trail Committee, "All American Scenic Highway 12" Committee, and other agencies such as the Dixie National Forest by connecting the park with a like trail leading to the park. The trail will be ten (10) miles in total length. The trail will be separated from the main road prism to provide for safety and quality experience, but should be within the general road corridor to minimize impacts to park resources and values (e.g. wilderness). The project work includes comprehensive surveying (including digital 3-D imaging), planning and compliance necessary for the design standard requirements, necessary environmental and cultural resource compliance; and typical details, trail locations, road crossing alternatives, sustainable materials, phasing and Class B cost estimates. NAICS Code is 541320 with a small business size standard of $7M. The estimated performance period is 120 calendar days and design must be completed prior to October 1st 2011. All interested certified Small businesses, HUBZONE, 8A, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and Women Owned contractors should respond to this survey by email NLT 11 March 2011 5:30 PM MST. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance capacity that the company currently has for the proposed project. (3) Experience - provide descriptions of up to three (3) projects that your firm completed or substantially completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size and scope. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include the design of bike paths. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and the portion and percentage of work that was self performed. (4) A statement of the portion and percentage of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished. Only include a narrative of the requested information; addition information will not be reviewed. Send responses to pamela_kaelin@nps.gov If you have questions please call Pam Kaelin at 303-987-6767. This is NOT a request for proposal.
