- Synopsis The USDA Forest Service, Jacob's Creek Job Corp Service Center is a residential, educational and vocational training facility for student's ages 16 to 25 years of age. This project is located at the Jacobs Creek Job Corps Center located approximately 20 miles southeast of Bristol, TN off of Highway 421 at 984 Denton Valley Rd. Bristol, TN 37620. The mission of the Job Corps is to provide academic, vocational and life learning skills to youths at-risk. The Jacob's Creek Job Corps Center has a requirement for a construction project to replace its roofs and roof parts for the 2 base bid items and the 1 optional bid items. Set-aside Status, this is a 100% small business set-aside. The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 90 days after the notice to proceed. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises and completion of the punch list as submitted by the COR. BASE BID ITEMS 1. Base bid item: Bid Item No. 1 - Building # 204 - Collins Hall Roof Replacement Measurement: This item is measured as a lump sum quantity. Payment: The contract lump sum shown in the Schedule of Items shall include all required materials, equipment, labor incidentals required to perform all operations necessary for the removal of the existing roof system and the installation of a new roof system, including, but not limited to, such components as crickets, flashing, venting, and drip edges. Repair and/or replace roof sheathing and any minor repair to roof trusses where necessary. 2. Bid Item No. 2 - Building #309 - Wellness Center Roof Replacement Measurement: This item is measured as a lump sum quantity. Payment: The contract lump sum shown in the Schedule of Items shall include all required materials, equipment, labor incidentals required to perform all operations necessary for the removal of the existing roof system and the installation of a new roof system, including, but not limited to, such components as crickets, flashing, venting, and drip edges. Repair and/or replace roof sheathing and any minor repair to roof trusses where necessary. OPTIONAL BID ITEM 1. Optional Bid Item #1 - Building #514 Vocations Trade Bldg. Measurement: This item is measured as a lump sum quantity. Payment: The contract lump sum shown in the Schedule of Items shall include all required materials, equipment, labor incidentals required to perform all operations necessary for the removal of the existing roof system and the installation of a new roof system, including, but not limited to, such components as crickets, flashing, venting, and drip edges. Repair and/or replace roof sheathing and any minor repair to roof trussed where necessary. Contractor must bid on all items both base and the option. Prior to award the contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database located at http://www.ccr.gov. The NAICS code for this project is 238160 and the small business size standard is $14 million. All responsible sources that meet the outlined criteria may submit a proposal. The Government plans to award a firm fixed price contract to complete this requirement. A contract will be awarded with or without discussions resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation that will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors as outlined in the solicitation considered. Labor, services, transportation, insurance, permits and license/certifications and all other materials as required will be provided by the Contractor to complete the work as described (except for Government-furnished property or facilities as outlined in the solicitation.) The solicitation will be posted to this website-FedBizOpps-for downloading and will provide all necessary information for offerors to prepare and submit a proposal. Responses to the solicitation must be received by close of business, as indicated in the solicitation. Faxes will not be accepted.
