- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FA4625-11-Q-0012 is issued as a request for quotation for CNC Milling Machine. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 2005-48, effective 31 Jan 2011, DFARS DPN 20110214, effective 14 Feb 2011, AFFARS AFAC 2011-0214, effective 14 Feb 2011. This solicitation will be awarded to a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 334513 with the corresponding small business size standard of 500 employees. General Wage Decision # 05-2307 Revision 11 dated 09/28/2011 applies to this acquisition and can be found at http://www.wdol.gov/. All offers are to remain valid until 15 April 2011. Basis for Award; A FFP contract shall be awarded to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer that provides the best value to the Government. Paper copies of the Request for Quotation shall not be made available. All items are listed as "or equal." Items required: Hurco VMX42-40 Taper Vertical Machine Milling Machine must meet the following minimum requirements. Required Machine capacity: Machine work table must have 42" of linear travel on the "X" axis allowing for adequate lengths of cut giving a table working space of 50"X24". X-Axis= 42" Y-Axis= 24" Z-Axis= 24" Required Coolant System: Requires flood coolant system with dual pump and spindle coolant ring linked with a chip management system. This system needs to have multiple washdown jets, a steel belt chip and flood conveyor with a barrel height discharge. Must be a 90 gallon system. Required Control System: Requires a dual screen Winmax Control with conversational programming. It should also provide mirror imaging, automatic feed and speed calculations, auto cutter compensation, inch-metric programming, drilling cycles, contour milling, and rigid tapping. Requires Ultipocketing ability (the ability to program the machining of necessary pockets, large holes, and designed voids in parts for reasoning of lightening the workpiece, giving some kind of clearance or for simple design enhancement of the workpiece). Requires Double nut, Pre-Tensioned Ball Screws Requires Dual Wound Spindle Motors: Requires motors with 24HP capable of a high torque option of 10000 RPM and a torque rating of 210ft-lb @ 600RPM Requires Spindle Taper of CAT 40 and Max RPM of 12000. Requires an Automatic Tool Changer with 24 Stations with CAT 40 with a max tool change time of 3 seconds and a max tool length of 11.8". Power Requirements 240v Three Phase. Machine Operating Dimensions: W 179.3" D 147.6" H 109" X,Y and Z Motion Requirements: X,Y rapid traverse must be 1378 ipm and Z must be 1181 ipm. Cutting feed rate must be 600 ipm and the least command increment must be.0001. Positioning accuracy must be within.0002 and repeatability should be within.0001. Must have rotary table 4th axis system and Ultimonitor software. Must possess Laser tool probe package and spindle chiller.
