- Attachment (2) - Drydock Bid Pricing Spreadsheet Attachment (1) - Performance Work Statement (PWS) Request of Proposal (RFP) The U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration, Division of Atlantic Operations, Office of Aquisition has a requirement for the Training Vessel KINGS POINTER ( IMO Nr 8835463). The T.V. KINGS POINTER is a U.S. Government owned training vessel provided to the United States Merchant Marine Academy for the purpose of training young men and women for a career in the U.S. Maritime Industry. It is the intention of the Maritime Administration to conduct a scheduled out of water drydock availability of the vessel for May 2011. Planned out of water repairs and inspections will include but not limited to tailshaft surveys, anchor chain and sea valve inspections, underwater hull plate inspection and repairs, and underwater hull paint system repairs. All inspections and repairs will comply with all American Bureau of Shipping and U.S. Coast Guard requirements. Repairs will be accomplished at Contractors facility. Availability of Funds: Funds are not presently available for this contract. There will only be one (1) scheduled Site Visit conducted onboard the T.V. Kings Pointer, located at U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, New York, on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Prospective offerors planning to attend shall notify the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR), Mr. Gerry McNamara by Thursday, March 10, 2011 at gerry.mcnamara@dot.gov or (757) 262-8832. All prospective offerors are strongly urged to inspect the ship at the designated date/time, in order to understand the full scope of all work items. Failure to do so may result in bid or proposal errors which will be considered uncompensable by the Government. CCR Requirement: Contractor must be registered on Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before an award could be made to them. If company is not registered in CCR, they may do so by going to CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at the prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
