REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center Eatontown, New Jersey 07724 1.0Description 1.1 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/Sources Sought in accordance with FAR 15.201(e) to conduct market research for information and planning purposes only. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue a RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Department of Veteran Affairs is not at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. 1.2 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), plans to acquire Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) VistA Imaging Hardware System and warranties. 1.3 For project planning and information gathering, the Draft Statement of Work (SOW) is included which defines the scope of requirements needed to support our mission. Information obtained from this RFI will be used within the VA and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. Please submit a capability statement, as well as any Federal Government Contracting Vehicles and Related Schedules accessible to the Department of Veterans Affairs and any comments in with regards to the Draft SOW in Microsoft Word for Office 2007 compatible format as follows: 1.This document should not exceed 15 pages (no marketing material), and should clearly support how you would address any comments and your ability to deliver the required product/services. 2.Requirements Matrix. The VA has embedded the specifications and the locations required.. 3.Provide comments on the Draft Statement of Work. 4.Provide a Rough Order of Magnitude. 5.Include point of contact information of someone who can address questions we may have regarding the information which you submit. 6.Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. Firms interested and/or experts desiring to furnish information should do so not later than March 4, 2011, 3:00PM, EST. Email responses will be accepted. Vendors should clearly mark any information that is proprietary. (subject heading: "VistA Imaging Hardware System" RFI Response: YOUR COMPANY NAME"). Faxed copies are not acceptable. Five hardware configurations will be installed, implemented, migrated and delivered to 12 VA facilities, as identified on Attachment A including a 3-year warranty for VistA Imaging hardware. B.SPECIFICATIONS: NOTE: Vendors will need - to be certified with the National VistA Imaging Team before contract award. VistA Imaging is subject to the CFR Title 21, Part 820. Contractor shall provide on-site hands training of purchased equipment not less than eight (8) hours and not to exceed twelve (12) hours to a minimum of two Office of Information & Technology (OIT) staff at each site at the time of installation. The training can be done for both individuals simultaneously. Manuals of purchased equipment shall be provided electronically.
